A dredger booster pump station is a floating or land-based pumping system used to extend the discharge distance of a dredger. When the dredger needs to transport slurry (a mixture of water and sediment) over a long distance that exceeds the capacity of the dredger's own pumps, the booster station provides additional distance to satisfy the dredged materials can ben transported to longer discharge distance.
